The Grossi’s arrived in Michigan and their oldest son Egidio “G” attended college and met his future wife, Paula Rinaldi. While still in college, G began learning the restaurant business and managed a local pizzeria in Flint. In 1975, after completing college G and Paula were married. In 1977 they opened their first restaurant in Bridgeport, Pompeii’s. Later the same year, after a successful start, the couple opened daVinci’s here in Frankenmuth.
