Nick and Barbara Christophilopoulos, owners and operators of Makin’ Bacon,
began selling bacon-infused breakfast and lunch options [in the summer of 2014.
In the summer of 2018, the Makin’ Bacon Market Cafe was born along side the grand opening of the SVRC Marketplace in downtown Saginaw.
Surrounded by the freshest ingredients from the Saginaw Farmers’ Market, Nick and Barb use local ingredients in all of their dishes.
The ever changing harvest even inspires the pair to create new and daily specials such as the famous Makin’ Bacon Street Corn, a golden ear of corn roasted in bacon fat and topped with spices and, of course, more bacon.

Went to the food truck festival in Frankenmuth and this was the first truck we walked by, it had a long line but smelled really good my boyfriend and I shared the five cheese Mac and cheese with bacon on top and it was soooooooo goood!!! It was gone in like 2 minutes lol
Now that they ALSO have a permanent place inside SVRC Marketplace, I can’t get enough! I’m hooked on a small bowl of pulled pork with sautéed onions
